Albert Park South Melbourne Rowing Club
Rowing Club
Accounts from the Front, 1917 is an exhibition of letters written from France in 1917 by members of the Albert Park and South Melbourne Rowing Clubs who enlisted during World War One.
Published in local newspapers, these letters speak of the realities of war and how important club camaraderie was to our members.
This heritage project will explore who these members were, what they experienced and how their absence affected those who stayed at home.
This project has been supported by the City of Port Phillip through the Community Development Fund, the Victorian Government and the Victorian Veterans Council.
